About the Role:
As a project manager focused on asset management, logistics, and operations, you’ll be a key piece in the development of commercial operations and fleet management. You’ll align, prioritize, and facilitate commercial and logistics operations to successfully deploy autonomous trucking nationwide and ultimately deliver a valuable product to our customers. You’ll work cross-functionally with multiple teams, including Product, Product Ops, Hardware, Safety, Policy, and Legal. Reporting directly to the Program Manager for Asset Management, you’ll help drive high-priority company objectives and key results.
Hourly Rate:
$45/hour
Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas-Fort Worth and Coppell, TX
Contract Type: W2
Project Duration: 6 months
Project Capacity: 40 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
This is a Hybrid Position requiring on-site Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Create, propose, and implement new processes and standard operating procedures that relate to our asset management, registration, and compliance.
- Manage and execute projects end-to-end, and drive continuous improvement of asset management processes and commercial truck operations.
- Take the initiative to identify blockers, risks, and dependencies, and then propose methods to optimize existing operational processes and procedures.
- Partner with multiple stakeholders to define optimal solutions for operational and logistical issues and roadblocks by leading and conducting regular follow-up meetings.
- Interface with external vendors to acquire necessary paperwork, transportation, and /or materials necessary to facilitate safe and successful fleet management.
- Report project statuses and progress to Leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate day to day asset management needs, such as scheduling maintenance, triaging questions, performing audits on recalls, and monthly reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Safety-minded, operationally detailed, agile, and customer-focused mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with multiple stakeholders and gain cooperation from others.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and consistently exercise independent judgment in time-critical situations.
- Ability to be the decision maker after evaluating multiple courses of action, ultimately being accountable for the results.
- Strong intuition of when it is necessary to escalate a situation or solve the problem.
- Capacity to see the “big picture” and tie safety, testing, operations, and product all together in order to help deliver a valuable product to our customers.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of operations experience, preferably in the autonomous vehicle and/or logistics
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Google workplace and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to present ideas clearly
- Experience with Jira, Fleetio, and Lucidchart or similar software tools
- Foundational understanding of project management principles
