We're looking for highly skilled and motivated eLearning Developers to join our growing network of L&D professionals for future opportunities. In this role, you will be the primary developer for a variety of eLearning projects, taking ownership from conception through to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise with industry-standard authoring tools to create innovative and effective digital learning experiences. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, project management, and strong communication skills.
About This Role
This isn't your typical eLearning developer role. We're looking for a highly skilled and independent developer who takes a level of ownership and pride in their work. Serving as the lead developer on projects, you will work hands-on with tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, Lectora, and Evolve—guiding the project team on technical decisions and building key components while balancing the production workload between yourself and our team of developers. This role requires more than just technical ability; it demands a strong sense of ownership, a proactive approach, and excellent communication skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- eLearning Development: Lead the development of custom eLearning courses using off-the-shelf authoring tools, with a primary focus on Articulate Storyline. You'll also work with Rise, Lectora, and Evolve.
- Take a high level of ownership for assigned projects, seeing them through the entire development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the project team to understand requirements, develop solutions, and ensure courses align with learning objectives.
- Effectively delegate development tasks to supporting team members and coordinate the technical workflow to ensure project quality and timely delivery.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work directly with the project team, including instructional designers, graphics designers, and project managers.
- Demonstrate strong English fluency and excellent soft skills, including communication and problem-solving, to effectively collaborate with a geographically dispersed team.
- Provide expert guidance on the technical feasibility and best practices for course development.
Qualifications
- Experience & Skills: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in eLearning development, with a proven track record as a key technical contributor on projects.
- Proven expertise with Articulate Storyline, leveraging advanced features—including variables, triggers, and JavaScript—to create highly custom and engaging learning experiences.
- Proficiency in Rise, Lectora, and Evolve is preferred.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, with experience resolving complex course issues related to LMS implementation (SCORM/xAPI), accessibility (WCAG/508 compliance), and translation/localization workflows.
- A solid understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work US daytime hours to ensure effective collaboration with the project team.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent experience, is preferred.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
