About the Role
We are seeking a talented and creative Freelance 2D Illustrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for visual storytelling and the ability to create engaging and eye-catching illustrations for a variety of mediums, including but not limited to digital and print media, marketing materials, websites, and social media content.

SweetRush is a remote organization and as such all resources must: be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, be comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally available during established working hours. 

Hourly Rate is negotiable 

Responsibilities 

• Conceptualize and create original 2D illustrations that align with project briefs and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual concepts and translate ideas into compelling visuals.
• Produce high-quality illustrations in various styles and techniques, from sketches and storyboards to final artwork.
• Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create digital illustrations.
• Prepare illustrations for print and digital production, ensuring they meet technical specifications.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the creative process.
• Meet project deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a 2D Illustrator with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of styles and techniques.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Excellent drawing skills and a strong understanding of composition, color theory, and typography.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A portfolio is required.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with animation or motion graphics.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling or rendering software.
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
