Who We Are
SweetRush is a consulting, design, and staffing firm specializing in HR-related services that help foster life-centered businesses and organizations. Our work includes designing unique learning experiences using agency-level graphics and leading-edge technology; creating high-performing cultures, leaders, and teams; and helping our clients grow their learning teams with qualified professionals.
Many of our clients are household names with large international operations, while others are small nonprofits whose work we value as essential to the world. We try to balance the work we do for profit with the work we do to spread good things in the world.
SweetRush is a leader in the field of learning and development, making use of emerging technologies (like VR and AR), games, storytelling, chatbots, interactive virtual and in-person experiences, and so on, all while grounding our work in vibrant and impactful human-centered design. The many awards we win every year reflect the care we put into our craft and our collaborations with clients. We’ve been grateful to have won awards with Hilton, Google, Bridgestone, Adidas, SHRM, and numerous others.
We are a completely virtual, tight-knit, talented community that spans the globe, a culture-forward team that values diversity, respect, and caring. Our folks tend to stick around, as do our clients.
We like to think we stand apart from competitors for the uniqueness and innovation of everything we create—and for who we are. And we’re committed to hiring talent that’s as creative, innovative, and caring as everyone on our team. This is where you come in…
SweetRush is a remote organization and as such all resources must: be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally available during established working hours.
About the Role
This position is designed for a video editor who has evolved into a creative technologist. As the Generative Video Specialist, you will lead the integration of emerging AI tools into our high-end production pipelines. Your mission is to take the chaotic, rapidly changing landscape of AI video—from deepfakes to diffusion models—and tame it into reliable, scalable workflows for our Fortune 500 clients. You will work closely with our animation and engineering teams to produce high-fidelity assets that seamlessly blend AI generation with manual motion graphics, ensuring our deliverables are not only innovative but polished and professional.Responsibilities
- Generative Asset Creation: Use tools like Runway (Gen-2/Gen-3), Pika, Sora, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion to generate high-quality video clips, dynamic backgrounds, and character avatars for eLearning courses and simulations.
- Hybrid Editing: Seamlessly blend AI-generated assets with traditional stock footage, motion graphics, and live-action video using Adobe Premiere and After Effects. The goal is a cohesive style where the "AI seams" are invisible.
- AI Character & Lip Sync: Utilize tools (e.g., HeyGen, Synthesia, D-ID, or manual deepfake workflows) to create and animate diverse, realistic virtual characters that can deliver training content with accurate lip-syncing and emotional expression.
- Style Consistency: Develop and maintain "Style LoRAs" or specific prompt libraries to ensure consistent branding and visual fidelity across long-form projects.
- R&D and Upskilling: Act as the team’s scout. The AI video landscape changes weekly. You will test new tools, research emerging workflows (e.g., ComfyUI pipelines), and educate the wider creative team on what is currently possible.
- Quality Enhancement: Use AI restoration tools (like Topaz Video AI) to upstart low-resolution client footage or clean up artifacts in generated content.
- Ethical AI Use: Adhere to SweetRush’s ethical guidelines regarding copyright, likeness rights, and transparency in AI usage, ensuring our content is safe and compliant for enterprise clients.
Required Skills:
- Professional Editing Background: 3+ years of experience in video editing or motion graphics. You must know the rules of filmmaking (pacing, continuity, color, sound) before you can break them with AI.
- Generative AI Proficiency: Deep, hands-on portfolio demonstrating mastery of current video generation tools. You should understand parameters beyond simple prompting (e.g., motion brushes, camera controls, seeds, and style referencing).
- The Adobe Stack: Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects. You know how to composite, rotoscope, and color grade to make disparate assets look like they belong in the same world.
- Technical Adaptability: You are not afraid of a new interface. Whether it’s running a local install of Stable Diffusion or learning a new cloud-based rendering platform, you learn fast.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Generative video is often unpredictable. You need the patience to iterate 50 times to get the perfect shot and the creativity to "fix it in post" when the AI gets it wrong.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical limitations to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., "Why can't the AI character hold a coffee cup perfectly yet?").
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with ComfyUI or Automatic1111 for more granular control over generation.
- Basic 3D skills (Blender/Cinema 4D) to create reference geometry for ControlNet workflows.
- Experience working in eLearning, L&D, or corporate communications.
- Knowledge of Python/scripting for automating workflows.
