About The Role
As a Senior Consultant, Product & Go-to-Market Strategy at SweetRush, you'll be a key partner to our clients, acting as a strategic advisor to help them define, launch, and grow successful learning products. This is a senior role for an individual with over 7 years of experience who can expertly navigate the intersection of product vision, market strategy, and business goals. This is a United States-based role, working remotely with both our internal teams and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct High-Level Research: Dive deep into market trends, the competitive landscape, and new technologies to uncover market gaps, unserved needs, and strategic opportunities.
- Define Product Vision & Strategy: Develop the overarching vision and strategic direction for new and existing learning products. This includes defining the target audience, the product's value proposition, and a clear path to long-term success.
- Shape the Roadmap: Work at a high level to outline the key strategic initiatives and themes that will guide multi-year product roadmaps, ensuring they align with business objectives.
- Identify New Opportunities: Proactively seek out new ways to expand a product's reach and value, including identifying potential business partnerships, licensing opportunities, or new revenue streams.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Synthesize research and strategic proposals into compelling presentations to gain buy-in and secure resources from executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Balance Needs & Goals: Act as the critical link between customer needs and business goals, ensuring products drive growth, profitability, and market share.
Go-to-Market (GTM) for Learning Products
- Develop Comprehensive GTM Plans: Lead the creation of end-to-end go-to-market strategies for new learning products, defining launch timelines, pricing models, and target audience segmentation to maximize market penetration and adoption.
- Analyze Markets and Customers: Conduct deep analysis of target markets and customer segments, including academic institutions, corporate training departments, and individual learners. You'll identify ideal customer profiles, key pain points, and the most effective channels for reaching and acquiring them.
- Define Value Proposition & Messaging: Translate a product's features into clear, compelling messaging and a unique value proposition that resonates with different customer segments. You'll ensure all marketing and sales materials are aligned with this core message.
- Collaborate on Sales & Marketing Enablement: Partner with sales and marketing teams to create essential collateral and training, including sales pitches, demo scripts, case studies, and marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the product's value.
- Establish Pricing Strategy and Structure: Design and implement a data-driven pricing strategy that aligns with the product's value and business goals. This includes defining specific pricing models (e.g., subscription, one-time purchase, tiered, per-seat), conducting competitive analysis, and forecasting revenue to determine the optimal price point. You'll also create a clear pricing structure that is easy for customers to understand and for sales teams to execute.
- Monitor & Optimize Launch Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) post-launch, such as user adoption, revenue growth, and customer feedback, using this data to iterate on the GTM strategy and identify areas for improvement.
- Partner with Teams: Work closely with product managers to ensure the product roadmap supports GTM needs and with executive leadership to communicate launch plans, performance, and strategic pivots.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a senior product, marketing, or strategy role, preferably with a focus on learning products or certification programs.
- Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive product and go-to-market strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and research skills with a track record of translating insights into actionable plans.
- Strong ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex strategies clearly and persuasively.
- A self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Based in the United States.
