About the Opportunity  

We are seeking a proactive Learning Project Manager to lead the delivery of custom learning solutions. You’ll blend instructional design knowledge with expert project management to ensure our clients receive high-quality, innovative results on time and within budget.

Location: Costa Rica (Remote)
Contract Type: Freelance
Project Duration: Up to 6 months
Project Capacity: From 0 to 20 hours per week
Start Date: July 2026

SweetRush is a remote organization, and as such, all resources must be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, be comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally be available during established working hours.

Your Impact and Responsibilities 

Project Leadership & Execution

• Collaborate with Sales to align client needs with PM best practices.
• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans (Agile or Waterfall), including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Anticipate roadblocks and pivot quickly in complex, ambiguous environments.

Team & Client Partnership

• Serve as the primary client contact and consultative guide, translating complex processes into clear decisions.
• Facilitate collaborative sessions to foster innovation while managing team priorities and conflicting demands.
• Foster strong, empathetic relationships to understand client business strategy and organizational culture.

Financial & Strategic Growth

• Own project financial health: track expenses, target utilization, and profit margins with full transparency.
• Identify growth opportunities via change orders to enhance project value and learner engagement.
• Connect project goals to the client’s broader business landscape and suggest innovative tools or delivery methods.

What You Bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's in ID or Business is a plus).
• Experience: 5–7 years in PM, specifically within the Learning & Development industry.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of ID principles, adult learning theories, and eLearning standards (SCORM, xAPI, WCAG).
• Tech Savvy: Proficient in tools like Jira/Asana and familiar with authoring tools/virtual training platforms.
• Business Acumen: Strong financial tracking, negotiation, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Soft Skills: Decisive leadership, conflict resolution, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Bonus Points:  PMP certification and experience with globally distributed teams.
