About the Opportunity: SweetRush is looking for a Strategic Learning Consultant to help us win a large-scale training program for a well-known pharmaceutical company, and eventually help us build a learning team.  This will be a freelance opportunity, and you will be working from home, except for a few times a year when you’d meet directly with our client.  The hours will ebb and flow.  

Location: Costa Rica, Work-from-home the majority of the time

SweetRush is a remote organization, and as such, all resources must be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet connection, be comfortable with virtual and instant messaging, and generally be available during established working hours. 

Responsibilities 

Client Facing

• Embody and represent SweetRush’s values of partnership, fairness, creativity, and customer service
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Participate in pitch presentations (virtual and onsite with clients), and represent the voice of instructional design
• Participate in or lead scoping meetings with clients to ascertain their needs, asking appropriate questions, gathering information, and documenting their responses
• Provide real-time recommendations and consulting to engage clients, fuel discussions, and build trust and rapport

Solution Design

• Leading scoping meetings with clients to ascertain their needs, asking appropriate questions to gather information to propose a solution, and documenting responses
• Providing real-time recommendations and consulting to clients 
• Participate in brainstorming unique, innovative solutions that meet the client's business objectives
• Estimate work efforts using sophisticated SweetRush-developed calculators 

• Design and propose a recommended solution strategy, including storyboards, mock-ups, project plans, and boilerplate content 

Consulting Management

• Consult on appropriate resource assignments based on project and client needs
• Introduce project team to the client, business objectives, and proposed solutions
• Collaborate in key moments of project production as determined during scoping and as needed
• Participate in brainstorming with the project team on the detailed design

Required Skills 

•  7+ years’ experience in the Learning and Development industry with an expertise in designing and consulting on blended and eLearning solutions, using gamification within learning solution design
• 5+ years’ experience with performance consulting in an external client-facing capacity
• Excellent client and account management skills; business savvy/acumen
• Proven ability to work on a highly collaborative team
• Excelling and enjoying the challenges of:
  • Writing persuasive learning solutions proposals
  • Giving strong client-facing presentations
  • Pitching, in-the-moment learning solution design, client-involved ideation
  • Developing long-term relationships with team and clients
• Creativity and innovativeness - up to date and seeking new learning around industry trends 
• Knowledge in instructional design approaches and mapping learning objectives to levels of interactivity—and applying this in a consultative manner, factoring in client needs and preferences (learning, business)
• Highly professional demeanor in written and spoken communications; ability to speak English in a clear, concise manner on client calls and in presentations
• Excellent time management and resourcefulness; ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize effectively
• Expert-level skills in Google Suite
